Varindra Dogra Senior Assistant at the State Scheduled Castes Commission Office Retires
Una, July 31: Varindra Dogra, serving as a Senior Assistant at the State Scheduled Castes Commission office, retired today (Friday) after completing 16 years of service. He began his career as a clerk in the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment in July 2010. He discharged his duties with utmost dedication, honesty, and a sense of responsibility for nearly 16 years. From December 2024 until his retirement, he served as a Senior Assistant at the State Scheduled Castes Commission office.
On this occasion, officers and staff honored Varindra Dogra during a farewell ceremony at the Commission's office and wished him a healthy, happy, and bright future.
Speaking on the occasion, Kuldeep Kumar Dhiman, Chairman of the State Scheduled Castes Commission and former Minister, stated that Varindra worked with complete dedication, honesty, and diligence throughout his tenure. His amiable nature, discipline, and cooperative working style have served as an inspiration to all. His valuable contributions to the Department and the Commission will always be remembered.
Commission members Dr. Vijay Dogra (Advocate), Digvijay Malhotra (Advocate), and Ms. Shalini (Advocate), along with Assistant Commissioner Vinay Modi, Member Secretary Vishrut Bharti, CDPO Bangana Vivek Kumar, and Tehsil Welfare Officer Una Jatindra Sharma, also praised Varindra's outstanding work, dedication, efficiency, and gentle demeanor during his service.
Varindra expressed his gratitude for the cooperation, affection, and respect received from all officers and colleagues in the Department and the Commission. He remarked that the time spent in the Department would remain an invaluable treasure in his life and that having the opportunity to work at the State Scheduled Castes Commission was a privilege for him. He extended special thanks to the Commission's Chairman, members, and all officers and staff for their support. Expressing his happiness, he noted that while he was initially covered under the New Pension Scheme (NPS) upon joining government service, he is now receiving the benefits of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS). He also expressed his gratitude to the Himachal Pradesh government for this.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Varindra and his family members were honored by the State Scheduled Castes Commission and the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment with the presentation of a shawl, a Himachali cap, and a memento. Additionally, all the relatives present were honored with the gift of a *Mata ki Chunri* (a sacred ceremonial scarf).
Those present on the occasion included Varindra Dogra’s wife Meena Dogra, daughter Khushbu Dogra, son-in-law Jeetan, and brother Batan Dogra, along with officials and staff from the District Welfare Officer's office, including Shayari, Diksha, and Aanchal.
