Updating 10yearold Aadhaar cards is essential Uttam Singh
Karnal, October 23: Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh announced that the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has extended the deadline for free Aadhaar card updates to June 14, 2026. This free service is available only on the My Aadhaar portal.
He explained that citizens will need their demographic data, address, date of birth, and mobile number to update their Aadhaar cards. For Aadhaar updates, they must upload their name, date of birth, residential certificate, or other required identification proof online. After the deadline, a fee will be charged for Aadhaar updates. Online updates are only available to those whose mobile numbers are linked to their Aadhaar cards.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that Aadhaar cards are the most important document for availing benefits of government schemes, and updating 10-year-old Aadhaar cards is essential. He added that UIDAI has extended the deadline for updating Aadhaar cards to June 14, 2026.
Citizens can also update their Aadhaar cards themselves by visiting the website http://uidai.gov.in/. Alternatively, they can also visit any CSC or Aadhaar Center to update their Aadhaar cards.
