Jalandhar:- Wrestler Karanveer Sangha, a B.A. Part-I student of Gobind Singh University College Jandiala (Manjki), has been selected by the Government of India for the Khelo India Inter-University sports competitions.
College In-charge Jashanjot Singh Johal congratulated the player and honoured him. This wrestler has secured a place among the top eight players of the All-India Championship and will participate in the Federation Cup to be held from 12 to 14 February 2026 at Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh).
He said that at the college, students are encouraged to participate in sports along with academics for their all-round development. He further stated that student sportspersons of the college have, from time to time, participated in various sporting events and have also earned recognition at different international sports competitions, thereby bringing glory to the college. He motivated wrestler Karanveer to deliver even better sporting performances in the future.
