Union budget against pensioners employees and farmers Pensioners Welfare Federation

Patiala, February 5:- State President of Pensioners Welfare Federation Punjab Powercom and Transco Shri. Amarjit Singh Baba, B.S. Sekhon, Paramjit Singh Dasuha, Eng: Vinod Salwan, ML Kapila, Balwinder Singh Pasiana, Shivdev Singh, Rajinder Thakur, Lakhbir Singh Kartarpur, Paramjit Singh Jalandhar, Jagdish Gaye Rampura Phool, Jagdev Mann, Malkit Singh Kang, H.S. Kohli, Harjinder Singh Chauhan, Sukhdev Singh Cashier, Kanwar Jaswinderpal Singh, Mahinder Singh Zoshan, Manoz Mahajan, Pavitar Singh, Ranjit Singh Talwandi, Rajinder Virk, Ram Sharan, Balwinder Singh Pankhuh, Gardeep Singh, Parminder Singh, Ashwani Kumar, Kuldeep Minhas and Surinder Shahpur Kandi issued a joint statement on the budget for the year 2026-27 by the central government. 
While releasing, the hopes of employees and pensioners have been dashed. Neither increased the income tax threshold nor given any exemption. They did not provide any facility for the agricultural laborers either. No new project has been announced for the state of Punjab. No provision of employment was made even to remove unemployment. B.S. Sekhon General Secretary said that while condemning the central budget by the organization, it was declared as a budget against employees, pensioners, farmers and labour.
