Hansi:- In order to make the city clean, beautiful and healthy, the Municipal Council is continuously running a special cleanliness campaign. In this sequence, on Wednesday, a comprehensive special cleanliness campaign was conducted by the Municipal Council in Ward No. 1, 5, 16, 19 and 24. This campaign was conducted under the guidance of ADC and District Municipal Commissioner Lakshit Sareen, in which the officers of the Municipal Council, sanitation inspectors and sanitation workers participated with full enthusiasm.
During the campaign, special cleaning of the main roads, streets, public places, parks and drains of the wards was carried out. The silt and garbage accumulated in the drains was removed and its immediate lifting was ensured so that the problem of waterlogging does not arise during the rainy season. Along with this, the garbage lying on the sides of the roads was removed and the entire area was made clean.
ADC and DMC Lakshit Sareen said that the objective of the Municipal Council is not only to clean but also to increase awareness about cleanliness among the citizens. He instructed the officers to ensure regular cleanliness system in each ward and to take immediate action wherever heaps of garbage are seen. He said that the participation of citizens is also very essential in building a clean city and every person should cooperate in maintaining cleanliness around him.
He appealed to the citizens to give the garbage of their houses only to the garbage collection vehicles of the Municipal Council at the scheduled time and not to throw garbage in open places, drains or roads. By adopting the habit of keeping wet and dry waste separately, a significant contribution can also be made in keeping the city clean.
DMC Lakshit Sareen informed that the special cleanliness campaign will continue in other wards also in the coming days. Through the campaign, regular monitoring of the cleanliness system in each ward will be done and additional resources will also be made available as per requirement. The goal of the Municipal Council is to make every ward of the city clean, beautiful and pollution-free so that a better and healthy environment can be provided to the citizens.
The Municipal Council, while appealing to the city residents to actively cooperate in this campaign, said that the dream of a clean and developed Hansi can be realized only through joint efforts of the administration and the general public.
