Unas health infrastructure is being strengthened with modern facilities

Una, March 6:- A healthy society is the hallmark of any progressive state. With this vision in mind, the Himachal government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, is continuously taking concrete steps to modernize, accessibly, and effectively deliver healthcare services. Several innovative initiatives have been implemented in the state to expand medical infrastructure, provide state-of-the-art facilities, and ensure access to healthcare in remote areas. The positive impact of these efforts is clearly visible in Una district, where people are receiving improved treatment through a comprehensive health network, from regional hospitals to sub-health centers.
Una Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sanjeev Verma states that the district currently has one regional hospital, five civil hospitals, ten community health centers, three Employees' State Insurance dispensaries, 24 primary health centers, and 138 sub-health centers providing healthcare services.

**Accessible and Quality Healthcare Priority**
Dr. Verma stated that under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and the efforts of Health Minister Dr. (Colonel) Dhaniram Shandil, priority is being given to modernizing and expanding medical infrastructure to ensure accessible and quality healthcare services for every citizen.
He explained that in addition to the regional hospital, five civil hospitals are operating in Una district, located in Amb, Chintpurni, Haroli, Gagret, and Bangana. Additionally, ten community health centers are functioning in Dulahad, Kugrat, Bhadasali, Bitan, Dhusara, Basdehra, Santoshgarh, Daulatpur Chowk, Thanakalan, and Panjawar. In addition, 24 primary health centers and 138 sub-health centers provide primary healthcare services in the rural areas of the district. Additionally, there are three Employees' State Insurance dispensaries in Tahliwal, Gagret, and Mehatpur.
He added that the construction of the PGI Satellite Center in the district is also progressing rapidly.
