Una District Police Raises Awareness Among Students Under AntiDrug Campaign

Una, July 4 (Rajveer Chopra):— Under the "Anti-Chitta Campaign," the Una District Police is continuously organizing anti-drug awareness programs across various institutions, schools, Gram Panchayats, and municipal offices in the district.
As part of this initiative, Additional Superintendent of Police (Una), Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Bhatia, conducted an awareness session on July 4, 2026, at Government Senior Secondary School, Nangal Khurd. He educated students and teachers about the adverse effects of consuming 'Chitta' (heroin) and other narcotic substances.
During the session, students were informed about the harmful effects of narcotics and the legal provisions under the NDPS Act. They were also encouraged to adopt a healthy, disciplined, and positive lifestyle by staying away from drugs, while being motivated regarding road safety, traffic rule compliance, protection against cybercrimes, safe use of digital platforms, and becoming responsible citizens. Furthermore, all present—students, teachers, and other participants—took the "Anti-Chitta Pledge" and resolved to actively participate in making society drug-free.
The Una District Police is committed to achieving the goal of a "Drug-Free Una" by continuing these campaigns through effective enforcement, constant monitoring, and public participation. The public is urged to support this mass campaign against drugs and immediately inform the police about any information regarding the illegal sale or trafficking of narcotics or banned substances.
