Two members of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang arrested from Hoshiarpur 4 pistols recovered

Hoshiarpur- According to the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, achieving great success in the campaign launched to make Punjab a safe state, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) Punjab has arrested two active members of Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang along with four modern weapons during a joint operation with Hoshiarpur Police. This information was given here today by the Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab Gaurav Yadav.
The arrested persons have been identified as Savinder Singh alias Bodhi and Sukhman alias Jashan, both residents of Kalanaur, district Gurdaspur. The recovered weapons include two Glock pistols, one Zigana pistol and one PX30 pistol. The police teams have also seized their motorcycle on which they were riding.
DGP Gaurav Yadav said that initial investigation has revealed that both of them were active members of the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang and were working on the instructions of their foreign handler, identified as Amrit Dalam. He said that both the arrested persons were wanted in the case of firing at a medical shop targeting Dr. Hari Singh at Wadala Bangar in Kalanaur. They carried out this firing on the instructions of their handler.
The DGP said that further investigation is underway to establish the back-and-forth links in this case so that the entire network can be exposed.
Giving information about this operation, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) AGTF Pramod Ban said that acting on a credible tip-off, the police teams of AGTF under the leadership of DSP AGTF Jalandhar Range Jatinderjit Singh in coordination with Hoshiarpur Police arrested both the accused from T-point near Gurdwara Sri Garna Sahib at village Bodla in Dasuha.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hoshiarpur Sandeep Malik said that both the accused have criminal antecedents and several cases of murder, kidnapping and child trafficking are registered against them. He said that further investigation of this case is underway.
In this regard, FIR No. 229 dated 06.11.2025 has been registered under Section 25(6) of the Arms Act at Police Station Dasuha, Hoshiarpur.
