Amritsar- The State Special Operation Cell Amritsar has arrested the accused and recovered two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) weighing about 2.5 kg each from his possession. Apart from this, a modern 30 bore pistol along with cartridges have also been recovered.
DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the arrested person is the main operator of the terrorist module. The accused has been identified as Manpreet Singh alias Tiddi, a resident of village Kotla Tarkhana, Amritsar, against whom two cases have been registered in police stations Sadar Batala and Kalanaur.
AIG of SSOC Amritsar Sukhminder Singh Mann said that acting on a confidential information, the team had arrested Manpreet Singh alias Tiddi and recovered a pistol from his possession. After interrogation, two such devices, which were in metal containers with high grade RDX, were also recovered from the area of ??village Kotla Tarkhana. 
Investigation revealed that about two weeks ago this consignment was sent by drone from Pakistan to Ajnala area. The police have registered a case at police station SSOC Amritsar.
