Two Dead in Land Dispute Clash Six Accused Behind Bars

Karnal, March 27- Led by Inspector Inder Singh, Station House Officer (SHO) of the Gharaunda Police Station (Karnal District Police), a police team has successfully apprehended six accused individuals—belonging to both opposing factions—in connection with the murder of two persons during a violent altercation stemming from a land dispute.
The arrested accused have been identified as Mehtab (son of Liyaqat), Kamil (son of Leela), Saddam (son of Sabira), Afsar (son of Sabira), Gayur (son of Yameen), and Wajid (son of Yahid), all residents of Mundogarhi village, under the jurisdiction of Gharaunda Police Station, District Karnal.
Providing details regarding the incident, the Station House Officer stated that on Thursday afternoon, a physical clash erupted between two factions in a field in Mundogarhi village, following a verbal altercation over a land dispute. During the clash, both sides attacked each other using sticks, bricks, stones, and illegal weapons, resulting in the deaths of two individuals—one from each faction.
Upon receiving the information, a police team immediately rushed to the scene and recovered several items used in the altercation from the crime site, including seven tractors, one motorcycle, one live ammunition round, a *gadasi* (a type of sickle/chopper), and other miscellaneous items.
Based on complaints filed by both opposing factions, separate cases have been registered at the Gharaunda Police Station. All the arrested accused were produced before the Honorable Court today, and a three-day police remand has been secured for them. During the remand period, intensive interrogation of the accused is being conducted, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the involvement of any other individuals in the case.
