Two books by Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal released Kavi Darbar also organized
Chandigarh- The Vishwa Punjabi Prachar Sabha, Chandigarh, organized a grand literary event and Kavi Darbar at Saini Bhawan, Sector-24, Chandigarh. On this occasion, two books by Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal, titled "Aa Ni Chidiye Pani Pee" (Come little bird, drink water) and "Kalam Ate Kala Da Sumel" (A blend of pen and art), were released.
The chief guest of the event was Dr. Balbir Singh Dhol (former DPI, Punjab), while Dr. Manohar Singh Kharar presided over the function. Shri Prem Vij attended as the guest of honor. The presidium also included Dr. Jagdeep Singh, Jaswinder Singh Kainaur, Raj Kumar Sahowaliya, and Principal Bahadur Singh Gosal.
The event began with Jagtar Singh Jog singing the song "Utho Maro Hambhla, Door Karo Hanhere" (Arise and make an effort to dispel the darkness), written by Principal Gosal. Thereafter, Principal Gosal welcomed the guests and writers, providing insights into the social significance of both books.
On this occasion, Dr. Jagdeep Singh, Mitali Singh, Jagtar Singh Jog, and various authors associated with the books were honored with mementos, shawls, gold medals, and sets of books.
Following the book release, Jaswinder Singh Kainaur described "Aa Ni Chidiye Pani Pee" as an important book for children and society. Raj Kumar Sahowaliya termed "Kalam Ate Kala Da Sumel" as a unique creation by the author and singer. Several other writers including Charanjit Kaur Bath, Neelam Narang, Gurdarshan Singh Mavi, Dr. Manjit Singh Majhail, Mandar Gill, Teja Singh Thuha, Baljinder Shergill, Krishan Rahi, Avtar Singh Mehtapuri, and Manju Sharda were also honored.
In the second phase of the event, a Kavi Darbar (poetic symposium) was held, where poets and litterateurs entertained the audience with songs, poems, and ghazals.
In his address, Dr. Balbir Singh Dhol congratulated Principal Gosal on his 121st book, stating that these books are very beneficial for environmentalists and children. Dr. Manohar Singh, Shri Prem Vij, and Dr. Jagdeep Singh also praised the books and lauded Principal Gosal's contribution to the promotion and propagation of the Punjabi language. The event was conducted by Avtar Singh Mehtapuri, and Principal Gosal thanked all the attendees at the end.
