Two accused arrested in mobile theft case two stolen mobile phones recovered
Karnal, July 22: Taking effective action to curb theft incidents, the Nigdhu Police Station team—acting on a tip-off—has successfully solved a mobile theft case and arrested two accused. The operation was led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Virender Singh. The police also recovered two stolen mobile phones from the possession of the accused.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Ajeeb Singh (son of Bhulla Singh) and Harpreet Kaur (a woman), both residents of Ashok Vihar, Ward No. 15, Taraori, District Karnal.
Providing details on the matter, the Investigating Officer stated that the complainant, Anil, reported owning a shop named 'Jai Durga 99 Store' near the Mini Bus Stand in Nigdhu. On the afternoon of July 17, a man and a woman visited his shop under the pretext of making a purchase. While the complainant was showing merchandise to the woman outside the shop, the man entered the premises, stole two mobile phones and some cash, and fled the scene.
Based on the complaint, a case was registered at the Nigdhu Police Station, and an investigation was initiated.
During the investigation, the Nigdhu police arrested both accused involved in the case based on secret information. The two stolen mobile phones were recovered at the instance of the accused during interrogation.
Both arrested accused were produced before the honorable court today and have been remanded to judicial custody.
