Tributes paid to the legendary Ghadri General Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha Ji
Hoshiarpur:- Tributes were paid to Ghadri General Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha Ji today on his 110th martyrdom day and his unparalleled contribution to the freedom struggle was paid homage. Kartar Singh Sarabha Ji, a great son of India who obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Berkeley, USA, chose the path of national service and fought till his last breath to liberate the country and drank the juice of martyrdom.
Despite his young age, the indomitable warrior Sarabha was called the flying snake due to his wisdom and far-sighted thinking, who used to fly day and night at the risk of his life to bite the foreheads of the British rulers and to remove slavery from the neck of the country. Lahore Conspiracy Case I: On 16 November 1915, he was hanged along with 6 fellow Ghadri warriors and became immortal forever and became the foundation of the country's independence.
Like every year, this year also, the martyrs' heirs and fighting people across the country paid homage to their martyrdom and vowed to take the country out of the current crisis and create the society of their dreams.
At village Nangal Khiladiya, Talwinder Singh Heer, leader of Bhartiya Kisan Union Ekta Ugrahan, offered floral tributes and called on all pro-people parties to unite and fight the country in joint struggles against communal rulers and looting capitalists. Sister Surinder Kaur, Bibi Rajwinder Kaur, Jasmine Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur, Jatinder Singh, Sucha Singh also participated on this occasion.
