Ratia 20th November:- On the martyrdom day of Shaheed Davinder Singh, a tribute ceremony was held at Government Senior Secondary School Marh under the chairmanship of Principal Ajit Singh. On this occasion, the ceremony began with the slogan "Drive out drugs - save society, save environment, save life".
After offering flowers on the photo of Shaheed Davinder Singh, Principal Ajit Singh said in his address that following the footsteps of martyrs awakens consciousness. Martyrs are never associated with just one family, but become the apple of every mother's eye.
On this occasion, Gursharan Singh, a student of class 12, presented his views on the life of Shaheed Davinder Singh and said that Davinder Singh, who joined the army in 1998 and was martyred while fighting the enemies of the country in 2001, has the honor of being the first martyr of Ratia.
On this occasion, slogans like "Drive out drugs, save society" and "Save environment, save lives" were raised during the awareness rally. Lecturer Jagwant Singh, spokesperson Sultan Singh, Gurmeet Kaur, Parvinder Singh, Amit Kumar and school staff were present on the occasion.
