Haroli/Una, June 8 (Rajveer Chopra): A tree plantation program was organized on Monday within the premises of Nagar Panchayat Tahliwal by the newly elected councilors and the Nagar Panchayat staff to mark World Environment Day.
The event conveyed a message emphasizing environmental conservation and the promotion of a greener environment. Councilors Anu, Dimpal Kumari, Niranjana Kumari, Ajay Sahjal, Rajiv Rana, Ashok Kumar, Mukesh Sahjal, Naresh Kumar, Arun, and Pradeep Rana, along with Nagar Panchayat Tahliwal employees, planted saplings of various species and pledged to ensure their protection.
Nagar Panchayat Tahliwal Secretary Baldev Singh Thakur, along with staff members Radha, Charanjeet Kaur, Meena, and others, participated in the event and urged the public to plant more trees and play an active role in environmental conservation. Speakers emphasized that tree plantation should not be limited to a single day but should evolve into a mass movement to ensure a clean and safe environment for future generations.
During the event, all those present also pledged to care for the planted saplings and to make the area greener.
