Chandigarh, November 4 - Haryana Transport Minister Mr. Anil Vij said that the movement of people between Ambala Cantt and the city is very high. Therefore, keeping in mind their convenience, local and urban bus service will be strengthened.
Mr. Vij is talking to reporters today. On the joining of five new electric AC buses in Ambala Cantt in the local bus service, Transport Minister Anil Vij said that the local bus service was closed in Ambala Cantt for the last many years and he has restored this service as soon as he became the Transport Minister.
He said that 25 buses are providing their transport services in Ambala city, Ambala Cantt and nearby villages, due to which the public is getting good transport facilities. He said that most of these are electric AC buses, there are some small buses which ply on various short routes.
After receiving administrative approval to install storm water drainage system in other areas of the cantonment after the Sadar area in Ambala Cantt, Mr. Vij said that we had earlier laid storm water pipe line in the entire Sadar area, which has been successful. Now storm water pipe line will be laid in the rest of Ambala Cantt in the same way. Mr. Vij said that the drainage system will be laid up to Defense Colony and now the tender process will start soon after which the work will start.
