Hoshiarpur: Under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign launched in accordance with the directives of the Election Commission of India, a training session for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and supervisors was held today at the School of Eminence, Dasuya, under the leadership of SDM Kanwaljit Singh. During the session, SDM Kanwaljit Singh provided detailed instructions to the BLOs regarding the SIR of voter lists. These included conducting door-to-door verification of voter details, registering new eligible voters, and updating records for voters who have passed away or permanently relocated.
He emphasized that the entire task must be completed with utmost dedication, transparency, and accuracy within the timeframe stipulated by the Election Commission. He directed the BLOs to ensure outreach to every eligible citizen. Queries raised by the BLOs were addressed during the training, and necessary guidelines were provided to ensure the successful conduct of the electoral process.
Master Trainers Amarjit Singh and Yashpal, along with Election In-charge Pradeep Raju, Sikandar Singh, Baljit Singh, and other master trainers, were present on the occasion.
