Hoshiarpur:- Pratham team conducted training of Anganwadi workers under 'Poshan Vi, Saadhi Vi' campaign. With the aim of focusing on nutrition and early childhood education of children by the Department of Social Security and Women and Child Development, a special training program was organized by the team of the renowned educational institution Pratham at the Middle Level Training Center, Ram Colony Camp, Hoshiarpur for 930 Anganwadi workers under the theme "Poshan Vi, Saadhi Vi".
During this training, District Program Officer Gagandeep Singh explained about making nutrition and early education effective for children aged 3 to 6 years and Pratham team gave detailed information to Anganwadi workers about the nutritional status of children, monitoring of development, play-based and activity-based learning, storytelling, songs and use of local learning materials.
During the training, emphasis was also laid on parental participation, home activities and instilling interest in learning in children. The members of the Pratham team trained the Anganwadi workers through practical examples and demonstrations. District Program Officer Gagandeep Singh said on the occasion that taking this training will not only increase the capacity of the Anganwadi workers but will also improve both the health and education of the children. He appreciated the efforts of the Pratham team. At the end of the training, a discussion was held with the participants and the Anganwadi workers, describing the training as beneficial, assured to implement the activities learned in their respective centers.
