Amb/Una, February 12: One person died in a tragic road accident on the Amb-Chintpurni road, under the jurisdiction of the Chintpurni police station in Una district. The accident occurred in the Vehad Bhated area, where a car was found fallen off the road into a ravine.
According to police information, Vivek, son of Hans Raj, resident of village Ujhe, post office Wathu Tipri, tehsil Janswa, district Kangra, stated that on February 11, his uncle, Karam Chand, had gone to Amb to drop off his son, Daljit Singh, in his car. After waiting all day, when he did not return home, family and relatives began searching for him.
At around 2 a.m., they received information that his car had met with an accident in Vehad Bhated. Upon arriving at the scene, the family found the car severely damaged and lying dead inside the car.
As soon as the information was received, a local police team arrived at the scene and inspected the situation. Based on the statement of the deceased's nephew, Vivek, the police have registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem examination, and further legal action is underway.
Confirming the case, Superintendent of Police, Una, stated that the investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing and a detailed investigation is being conducted, taking all aspects into account.
