Tragic Accident in Bhadsali Area Man Dies While Alighting from Bus

Haroli/Una, April 8 (Rajveer Chopra): A tragic road accident occurred in the Bhadsali area, resulting in the death of a man—estimated to be around 55 years old—while he was alighting from a moving bus. According to reports, the incident took place around 11:00 AM when a private 'Doaba' bus, traveling from Hoshiarpur towards Una via the Pandoga-Bhadsali route, was moving at high speed.
It is reported that in Bhadsali, Bhisham Singh (son of Chokas Ram)—who worked as a confectioner in Hoshiarpur—was preparing to get off the bus. At that moment, upon hearing the conductor's whistle, he began to step off; however, the driver suddenly accelerated the bus, causing him to fall and sustain critical injuries.
Following the incident, the conductor immediately rushed the injured man to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries en route. Upon arrival at the hospital, doctors pronounced him dead.
Based on the statement of an eyewitness, the Haroli Police have registered a case, taken custody of the body, and initiated further investigations. The registration number of the bus involved has been identified as PB-07 AF-5299.
The bus driver has been identified as Ranjit Singh (son of Karam Singh), a resident of Village Mirzapur, Tehsil and District Hoshiarpur (Punjab), while the conductor has been identified as Deepak Kumar (son of Sodhi Ram), a resident of Village Motiya, Post Office Bareyakala, Tehsil Garhshankar, District Hoshiarpur (Punjab). The police are currently engaged in investigating the matter.
