Trade agreement will strengthen Make in India PM Modi
New Delhi, February 7:- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that the interim trade agreement with the US will strengthen 'Make in India' by opening up new opportunities for farmers and entrepreneurs and will create jobs for women and youth. The Prime Minister also thanked US President Donald Trump for his personal commitment to strong ties between India and the US.
Modi said in a post on X, "Great news for India and the US! We have agreed on a framework for an interim trade agreement between our two great countries." He said that the framework reflects the growing depth, trust and dynamism of the India-US partnership. The Prime Minister said, "It strengthens 'Make in India' by opening up new opportunities for India's hardworking farmers, entrepreneurs, MSMEs, startup innovators, fishermen and others. It will create jobs for women and youth on a large scale."
Modi said that India and the United States share a commitment to fostering innovation and this framework will further deepen the investment and technology partnership between the two countries. He said that this framework will also strengthen resilient and reliable supply chains and contribute to global development.
The Prime Minister said, "As India moves towards building a 'Developed India', we are committed to building global partnerships that are future-oriented, empower our people and contribute to shared prosperity."
