Timely Resolution of Public Grievances is Governments Priority Mukesh Agnihotri

Una, August 19:- Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri said that ensuring the timely and effective resolution of public grievances is a priority of the government. He directed the officers to take up the issues raised by public representatives and committee members during the meeting of the District Public Grievance Redressal Committee seriously and ensure their prompt resolution on priority. There should be no unnecessary delay in resolving matters related to the public, and the concerned departments should take effective action in coordination with each other.
He was presiding over the meeting of the District Public Grievance Redressal Committee held at the District Council Hall, Una, on Wednesday. The meeting discussed in detail various public-interest issues related to different Assembly constituencies, development works, civic amenities and public grievances. The Deputy Chief Minister heard the various issues raised by the committee members seriously and issued necessary directions to the concerned officers.

**Special Review of Patwar Khana and Panchayat Ghar Issues**
The Deputy Chief Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner to convene a meeting for a special review of matters related to Patwar Khana buildings and the construction of Panchayat Ghars of newly constituted Gram Panchayats in the district and ensure necessary action.
He directed that a consolidated proposal be prepared regarding matters related to Patwar Khana buildings in the district, containing complete details of locations where new Patwar Khana buildings are to be constructed and where proposals have been made to open new Patwar Khanas.
He also directed that land-related matters concerning the construction of Panchayat Ghars of newly constituted Panchayats be taken up on priority. Wherever there are issues related to land availability, transfer or other administrative complications, coordination with the concerned officers should be established to ensure their resolution.

**Respect for the Rights of Elected Pradhans is Essential**
Speaking about the role of Pradhans in Panchayats, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the role and rights of elected Pradhans must be respected. He said that interference by any other person in the rights of an elected Pradhan is not appropriate.
He said that if a woman has been elected as Pradhan of a Panchayat, it is not appropriate for any other person to consider himself the Pradhan and interfere in the functioning of the Panchayat. Whether the Pradhan is a woman or a man, the person is an elected representative, and their role and rights in the Panchayati Raj system must be respected.

**New Bus Routes to be Considered on the Basis of Need and Feasibility**
During discussions on various demands related to bus routes, the Deputy Chief Minister said that wherever there is a genuine requirement, the government is ready to provide bus services. He said that the feasibility of a new route and availability of sufficient passengers must also be taken into consideration so that the bus service remains practical and sustainable.
He expressed satisfaction over the successful operation of bus services started for AIIMS Bilaspur and Shri Chintpurni. He directed the department to examine suggestions received regarding new bus routes and take necessary action according to the requirement and feasibility.

**Funds Sanctioned for Construction of Rampur-Santokhgarh Bridge**
Regarding the issue related to the construction of the Rampur-Santokhgarh Bridge, the Deputy Chief Minister said that the required funds for the construction of the bridge have already been sanctioned. He said that the construction work would commence soon after completion of the necessary formalities.

**Directions for Lighting on Baba Bal Ji Maharaj Ashram Road**
The Deputy Chief Minister directed the officials of Municipal Corporation Una to ensure street lighting up to the gate of Baba Bal Ji Maharaj Ashram on the Una-Hamirpur road before Shri Krishna Janmashtami, so that devotees do not face any inconvenience while travelling.

**Self-Sustaining Model for Operation of Lata Mangeshkar Kala Kendra**
Regarding the maintenance and operation of Lata Mangeshkar Kala Kendra, the Deputy Chief Minister said that possibilities of running the centre under a self-sustaining operational model should be explored.
He suggested considering various options, including ensuring bookings throughout the year and handing over its operation to a suitable institution or agency, so that the centre can be maintained properly and operated in a sustainable manner.

**Emphasis on Patient Care and Facilities at Una Hospital**
During the meeting, Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma raised issues related to strengthening essential facilities at Una Hospital and the boundary wall of the hospital premises. He also drew attention to matters concerning patient care when doctors proceed on leave.
The Deputy Chief Minister directed that patient care and treatment arrangements should not be affected when any doctor is on leave. He also emphasized ensuring adequate beds and other essential facilities for patients, keeping in view the new buildings under construction and the facilities available at the hospital.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal welcomed the Deputy Chief Minister during the meeting and reiterated the commitment of the district administration towards the timely and effective redressal of public grievances. Additional Deputy Commissioner Ishant Jaswal conducted the proceedings of the meeting and placed various public grievances before the committee.
Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma, along with the non-official members of the committee, put forward important suggestions during the meeting.
State Congress General Secretary Ranjit Rana, District Congress President Deshraj Gautam, Himachal Youth Congress Working President Akhil Agnihotri, State Transport Authority member Ashok Thakur, Block Congress Haroli President Sandeep Agnihotri and other non-official members of the committee were present on the occasion. Superintendent of Police Sachin Hiremath, Municipal Corporation Una Commissioner Prithvi Pal Singh, Assistant Commissioner Vinay Modi, all SDMs and officers of various departments were also present at the meeting.
