Three active members of interstate tyre theft gang arrested
Ambala:- CIA-2 Assistant Sub-Inspectors Amrit, Rajesh and Naveen along with their team have arrested three main accused while taking action against a tyre theft gang. The accused have been identified as Chaminder Kumar (resident of Jagdoli, Yamunanagar), Rajesh Kumar (resident of Shadipur, Yamunanagar) and Kuldeep alias Pankaj, resident of village Ahabadpur (Yamunanagar). The police have recovered six stolen tyres (including rims), a truck, a jack, rod and other tools from their possession.
Balwinder Singh of Kesari village filed a complaint at Saha police station on February 13, 2026 that tyres were stolen from his vehicle. Acting on the information received from SP Ambala regarding the theft, CIA-2 Ambala arrested the accused from Adhoi (Barara) and on the orders of the court, all three have been sent to judicial custody.
According to the police, investigation has revealed that these gangs used to target vehicles parked in deserted areas and using jacks and rods, they would remove the tyres and load them in their trucks before fleeing.
