Three accused of knifepoint snatching arrested
Karnal, February 10:- As part of the Karnal District Police's aggressive campaign against criminals, the CIA-1 team has achieved significant success in successfully solving a serious knife-point snatching case and apprehending three accused.
In the operation, conducted under the leadership of CIA-1 Incharge Inspector Sandeep Kumar and headed by Sub-Inspector Jaipal, three accused of snatching from passersby at knifepoint were arrested.
The arrested accused are identified as: Vikas, son of Brij Paswan, resident of Slum Area, Sector-12, Karnal; Bhairav, son of Dhara, resident of Tiba, Pehowa, District Kurukshetra; Suraj, son of Amila Lal, resident of Slum Area, Sector-12, Karnal. Two stolen mobile phones and a knife used in the crime have been recovered from the accused.
In this regard, the investigating officer informed that according to the complainant, on the night of January 26, 2026, near Atal Park, three unknown youths attacked him with a knife and fled from the spot after snatching two mobile phones. In connection with this incident, case number 52/2026 was registered in Police Station Sector-32/33, Karnal under relevant sections.
Taking prompt and effective action, the police team arrested all three accused involved in the crime on the basis of technical and secret information. The arrested accused were produced before the honorable court and sent to the district jail in judicial custody.
