Karnal, October 24: The joyous atmosphere in Dhakwala Gujran village of Karnal district turned into mourning when an 18-year-old youth was stabbed to death during a wedding ceremony. Reportedly, the youth was dancing to the DJ when some men forcibly pulled him off the stage and attacked him. The seriously injured youth was immediately rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The deceased's family stated that their son had no quarrel or enmity with anyone. He was simply attending a wedding and dancing to the DJ when some young men attacked him. The family has accused some young men from the village of murder and demanded strict action.
Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene, took the body into custody and sent it to Kalpana Chawla Medical College Hospital. Investigating officer Tarsem Singh stated that the family's statements have been recorded and the names of the accused have also been revealed. He said that the police are investigating the case from all angles and the accused will be arrested soon.
