Patiala - The PRTC Pensioners Association, Patiala Depot, met at the bus stand under the chairmanship of Vice President Mr. Lalkar Singh. The central body strongly condemned the dismissal of General Secretary Mr. Shiv Kumar Sharma from the Patiala unit, stating that the central body has no right to interfere in the Patiala Depot.
The Patiala Depot unanimously decided that Shiv Kumar Sharma would remain General Secretary, as he was elected by the general body last month, and strongly condemned the central body's decision. The Patiala Depot's organization will continue to function as it has been. Mr. Joginder Singh, President, suffered a stroke, and pensioners prayed for his good health. The meeting was attended by 107 pensioners.
The meeting was addressed by Mr. Lalkar Singh, Vice President, Balwant Singh, Treasurer, Mahinder Pal, Deputy General Secretary, and others. Following the meeting, a sharp attack was leveled at the gate against the management and the government for the non-payment of pensions and pending dues to retired employees.
