The ninth bus departed from Haibatpur village under the Chief Ministers Pilgrimage Scheme

Derabassi, March 7: Under the Chief Minister's Pilgrimage Scheme, a public welfare scheme of the Punjab government, the ninth bus departed today from Haibatpur village in the Derabassi constituency to carry devotees to the holy places in Sri Amritsar. MLA Kuljit Singh Randhawa personally flagged off the bus.
On this occasion, MLA Randhawa met the pilgrims, wished them well, and prayed for a safe and secure journey. He stated that this scheme, launched by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, is providing people with the opportunity to visit religious sites, and a large number of people are taking advantage of it.
He added that the Punjab government is providing all necessary facilities, including comfortable buses, excellent accommodation, food, security, and medical assistance, to the pilgrims during the pilgrimage. During this three-day visit, devotees will pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib, visit the Durgiana Temple, Lord Valmiki Shrine, and other historical and important places like Jallianwala Bagh and Wagah Border.
He further said that the Punjab Government is committed to the convenience and well-being of the people and through such public welfare schemes, the common people are getting great relief.
The Sangat and other prominent personalities of the area were also present on the occasion.
