The literary endeavour of teachers has become a state identity

Nawanshahr- The teaching community has created a state identity by creating a literary movement and publishing 44 books during its 44 years through Navjot Sahitya Sanstha in town Aur. This organization was founded by teacher Gurdial Roshan in 1984. In this, Prof. Sandhu Variyanvi had a major contribution as General Secretary. Till now, services of 25 teachers have been associated with this organization. Fifty poetry books of Gurdial Roshan, President of this organization, himself have been published.
Among the teachers who presided over this organization, apart from Gurdial Roshan, Satpal Sahlon, Rajni Sharma and Davinder Skohpuri are prominently included. Similarly, active teachers in this organization include Chaman Mallpuri, Sucha Ram Jadla, Ram Nath Kataria, Dr. Kewal Ram Nawan Shehar, Makhan Bakhlour, Vinay Sharma, Rajinder Jassal, Des Raj Bali etc., while the literary role of women teachers Neeru Jassal, Amarjit Kaur Jind, Harbans Kaur Kariam, Rajwinder Kaur Nagra, Shelly Jaireth, Manpreet Kaur Sodhian has also been highly commendable.
In such literary efforts of teachers, monthly events 'Lekhak De Vihde', 'Sahitik Saanjh', 'Sahitya Ucharan Competitions' are very much in discussion. Even at present, three main posts of this organization are with teachers. Among these, for the posts of President, Secretary and Treasurer respectively, teachers Davinder Skohpuri, Kewal Ram and Rajwinder Kaur Nagra are rendering services.
