The final matches held in Langeri concluded with great joy
Hoshiarpur: On the occasion of the final matches of the football tournament being organized by the Martyr Comrade Darshan Singh Canadian Sports Club Langeri, in memory of Sant Baba Jwala Singh, Bhai Sobha Singh, and Sant Sukh Das, under the leadership of President NRI Kulwant Singh, Sant Baba Bhagwan Singh Harkhowal Jalandhar, Sant Gurcharan Singh Pandwa, Sant Balraj Singh Jian, and Jathedar Baba Nagar Singh Tootomajra Wale, the players were blessed, while OSD Charanjit Singh Channi attended as the chief guest.
The function was presided over by Madam Charanjit Kaur Haveli, District Council Member, Prince Chaudhary, Head Ma: Arvinder Singh Haveli, Jasvir Singh Vice President, Gurdeep Singh, Daljit Singh Bains Canada, Daljit Singh Bains UK, Gurdeep Singh Sangha Professor Ajit Singh, and Paramjit Singh Bains. In the final matches played, Langeri defeated Mugowal team 1-0 in the under-17 category.
In the Open Village category, the match between the Nangal players and the Langeri team was tied at 1-1.
The managers declared both teams joint winners and presented the winning trophy to the visiting Nangal players. Various other rural games were also held on the occasion.
