The eternal message of the Bhagavad Gita is resonating in Japan
Chandigarh, October 23 - In a special program organized by the Haryana Government, 100 copies of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita (Japanese edition) were presented to the Consul General of India, Indian Embassy in Osaka, Japan, Shri Chandru Appar. Assistant Professor of Osaka University Shri Vikas Pandey and Kurukshetra native Susri Nikita, currently residing in Tokyo, formally presented these copies.
On this occasion, Joint Director of the Department of External Assistance of the Government of Haryana, Heena Bindlish, Advisor to the Chief Minister in the Department of External Assistance Pawan Chaudhary, Honorary Secretary of KDB Upendra Singhal and General Manager of HSIIDC Sanjay Garg also joined through video conferencing.
In this program, a deep thought was shared on the propagation of the eternal message of the Gita in other countries including Japan. CGI Osaka Shri Appar expressed his desire to organize online Gita education for Japanese students.
It is worth mentioning that the International Gita Maha Utsav will be celebrated in Kurukshetra from 15th November to 5th December 2025, during which cultural and spiritual programs will be organized in 51 countries.
On this occasion, the Haryana delegation also appealed to CGI, Osaka to ensure the participation of Japanese representatives in the International Gita Mahotsav and the upcoming Surajkund Mela under the cultural exchange program between the two countries.
