TET related copies were burned under the leadership of the Joint Teachers Front

Hoshiarpur:- The leaders of the organizations included in the Joint Teachers' Front Punjab, led by Narinder Ajnoha GTU and Sukhdev Dancewal DTF, issued a letter dated 07-02-2026 stating that TET is mandatory for the promotions of Master Cadre and cancelled the letter dated 14-09-2017 granting exemption from TET. The teachers expressed their protest by burning copies of the said letter at Ajnoha.
The leaders said that the Aam Aadmi Party government formed in the name of bringing comprehensive reforms in the education department is taking such steps to further reduce the number of teachers in the education department, which is already struggling with shortage of teachers, on the pretext of the Supreme Court, which the teachers of Punjab will strongly protest against by demonstrating at the district level today on February 11 and on February 22 at the Education Minister's constituency Anandpur Sahib.
Onkar Singh and Harmanoj Kumar said that they have appealed to the leaders of all teachers' unions of Punjab to join the joint struggle against this attack on the entire teaching community so that the government can be given a befitting reply.
On this occasion, a large number of teachers including Jatinder Singh, Satnam Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Dharminder Singh, Hafiz, Deepak Kumar, Harbhajan Singh, Kulwant Singh, Manish Kumar, Gurmukh Singh, Parminder Kumar, Jaswant Rai, Singara Singh, Chandan Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, Harpreet Honey, Satwinder Singh, Kulwinder Kaur, Lovedeep Kaur, Avinash Kaur, Amanjit Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur, Ranjit Kaur, Baljinder Kaur, Navtej Kaur, Manjit Kaur, Smita Sharma, Amandeep Kaur Sandeep Kaur were present.
