Hoshiarpur- District Yoga Association President and former Cabinet Minister Teekshan Sood said that the 13th District Yoga Championship was inaugurated grandly at Sood Bhawan today. The inaugural ceremony began with lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana. On this occasion, children entertained the audience through yoga activities and cultural programs.
About 400 participants participated in this competition. Teekshan Sood said in his speech that for the last 13 years, the District Yoga Association has been making the young generation aware of yoga through these competitions and is working to make them physically, mentally and spiritually strong.
He said that with the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, yoga has got international recognition and this ancient Indian education is flourishing again.
On this occasion, Seth Rohtas Jain, Prof. Ashish Sarin, Avinash Sood, Ramdev Yadav, Anil Sood, Surinder Pal, Neerja Sood, Archana Jain, Sanjeev Sharma, Sanjeev Sood, Akshay, Arun Sood, Suneet, Jatinder Sood, Smt. Jatinder Kaur, Shruti, Joginder Singh, Yoga Guru Anita Jaswal and Swami Ram Chandra were also present.
