Tahliwal Police Apprehend Three Accused in Two Theft Cases

Haroli/Una, March 20 (Rajveer Chopra): Acting swiftly in two separate theft cases, the Tahliwal Police Station, under the jurisdiction of District Una, has successfully arrested three accused individuals.
The first case dates back to March 14, 2026, when Omkar Singh, a resident of Tahliwal, lodged a complaint stating that cold drinks had been stolen from his shop. In connection with this incident, the police registered Case No. 21/26 under Sections 303(2) and 3(5) of the BNS.
The second case occurred on March 19, 2026, wherein Abhishek Shandilya, a resident of Kalehra (Tehsil Haroli), filed a complaint alleging that unidentified individuals had broken down his shop's door during the night and stolen goods worth approximately ?90,000. Consequently, a case was registered under Case No. 22/26, invoking Sections 331(4), 305, and 3(5) of the BNS.
During the investigation of both cases, the police identified the three accused individuals based on CCTV footage and other technical evidence. The arrested accused include Kulwinder Singh Kaushal (32), Karanvir (24), and Harjinder Kumar (30), all residents of Garhshankar, District Hoshiarpur (Punjab).
The police arrested all three accused on March 20, 2026. They are scheduled to be produced before the court on March 21, where the police will seek their remand to conduct intensive interrogation and make efforts to recover the stolen goods.
According to the police, further investigation into the matter is ongoing.
