New Delhi:- The first upset in the T20 World Cup happened. Zimbabwe defeated Australia by 23 runs. This was the team's second T20 World Cup win. They had also defeated Australia in the league stage 19 years ago in 2007. At the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Zimbabwe scored 169 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Australia were all out for 146 runs after 19.3 overs. Blessing Muzarabani took 4 wickets and was adjudged the Player of the Match.
