Swift Resolution of Policyholders Issues at Insurance Ombudsman Grievance Redressal Camp
Una, June 12:- A special public grievance and awareness camp was organized in Una by the Insurance Ombudsman Office, Chandigarh, with the aim of providing swift, fair, and effective resolution to insurance-related complaints faced by policyholders. The camp was presided over by Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal stated that providing an accessible and convenient system for resolving the problems of ordinary citizens is a priority for the administration. He noted that institutions like the Insurance Ombudsman play a crucial role in settling disputes between policyholders and insurance companies, offering fair, transparent, and time-bound resolutions.
On this occasion, Insurance Ombudsman Alka Jha heard the grievances of policyholders and issued necessary directives for their resolution. She urged policyholders who do not receive a satisfactory resolution from their insurance companies to avail themselves of the Insurance Ombudsman's services to secure a free and effective resolution to their complaints.
**On-the-Spot Resolution of Complaints**
During the camp, the issues raised by complainants were heard seriously, and necessary actions were taken for the speedy disposal of their grievances. Alka Jha also provided detailed information to policyholders regarding the complaint registration process, required documentation, and grievance redressal through online channels.
Alka Jha explained that policyholders can register their complaints and track their current status from the comfort of their homes via the online portal www.cioins.co.in or by emailing [email protected]. This has made the grievance redressal process simpler, more transparent, and more convenient.
**Special Help Desk Set Up to Raise Awareness**
A special help desk was also established during the camp to inform the public about the functioning and jurisdiction of the Insurance Ombudsman.
