Patiala- The strike that was going on since 06-05-2026 under the presidency of the newly appointed President of the Sweeper Union at the Municipal Corporation Patiala, Mr. Babu Ram (Bambu) ji. In this regard, on 12-05-2026, the Honorable Finance Minister Mr. Harpal Singh Cheema ji and Local Body Minister Mr. Harjot Singh Bains and especially the Cleaning Commission (Punjab) Mr. Chandan Grewal ji and Veer Vijay Danav ji, Chairman Dalit Development Board, were discussed to get the long-pending demands of the employees accepted. 
In this meeting, the above-mentioned ministers and their colleagues assured to fulfill the demands of the employees and a committee was formed to resolve our common demands so that the demands of the employees could be resolved as soon as possible. 
After which the accused ended their strike on 13-05-2026 and all the employees resumed their duties after noon. On this occasion, the president, member colleagues and all the employees from various unions were present to convince the government to accept the demands of the employees.
