Suspicious Alto car found parked in military area police launch investigation
Ambala, February 3: Panic gripped the military area of ??Ambala Cantt on Tuesday when a suspicious Alto car with a Delhi registration number was found parked outside the military quarters near Akash Ganga Banquet Hall. The white car, bearing registration number DL-8CAW-5431, had been parked on the main road since the night of February 2. Upon receiving the information, local police, army personnel, and investigating agencies rushed to the spot. A thorough inspection of the car revealed that it had run out of fuel.
Sukhbir, the in-charge of the Regimental Resident Police Post, said that their initial investigation revealed that the car is registered in the name of Kamal Verma, a resident of Gannaur. The car owner told the police during questioning that his friend had come to Ambala on February 2 for a medical examination at the Air Force and had left the car there after it ran out of fuel. His medical examination was underway at the Air Force Headquarters on Tuesday.
The police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter and are also contacting the Air Force Recruitment Headquarters to ascertain whether any individual had indeed appeared for a medical examination. Military intelligence agencies have also launched their own investigation.
