Suryansh from Una secured second place in the statelevel safe construction competition Samarth2025

Una, October 9 - Suryansh, a student of Government Senior Secondary School, Pirthipur, brought honor to Una district by securing second place in the state-level safe construction competition "Samarth-2025," held at the CSSC Science Museum, Anandpur Shoghi. The competition was organized by the Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority, Shimla, and a total of 22 safe construction models were submitted from various districts.
For this outstanding achievement, Deputy Commissioner Una, Jatin Lal, honored Suryansh with a memento and wished him a bright future. The Deputy Commissioner said that Suryansh has brought glory not only to his school but to the entire education department and his parents with his innovations. He explained that this competition provides an excellent platform for children to become aware of disaster management and to showcase their innovations.
Meanwhile, Rajan Sharma, Training and Capacity Building Coordinator, DDM Una, informed that Suryansh's safe construction model will be displayed at the upcoming state-level disaster mitigation exhibition "Samarth-2025" on October 14 at Ridge Maidan, Shimla, where Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu will personally honour Suryansh.
Deputy Director, Una, Anil Kumar said that the model prepared by Suryansh is a replica of an earthquake-resistant and disaster-resistant house, which remains safe even in the event of a disaster like cloudburst. In this model, rain and flow water have been drained through a special pipe system, so that the building structure can be kept safe.
