Supreme Courts Samadhan Ceremony from 21 to 23 August
Chandigarh, July 30:- The Haryana government has intensified preparations for the 'Samadhan Ceremony-2026' to be organized by the Supreme Court. Chief Secretary Mr. Anurag Rastogi has directed all the Administrative Secretaries to ensure early identification of cases that can be resolved through conciliation or mediation for the nationwide special Lok Adalat to be organized from August 21 to 23.
In a letter issued by the Chief Secretary to all the Administrative Secretaries, it has been said that for the success of this important national initiative, all the departments should play an active, coordinated and positive role. He said that the objective of this campaign is to promote mediation, reduce unnecessary judicial litigation and ensure early, amicable and consensual resolution of cases pending for years.
He directed that all the departments should identify such cases within a week, which can be resolved through Special Lok Adalat by mutual consent. The departments should identify the cases suitable for mediation and coordinate with the Haryana State Legal Services Authority and the concerned District Legal Services Authorities for their effective resolution.
In this regard, the personal presence of all the Administrative Secretaries will be mandatory in the review meeting to be held on August 3, in which the department-wise progress will be reviewed.
The Chief Secretary said that this initiative is part of the comprehensive national campaign launched by the Supreme Court to promote consensual dispute resolution through Special Lok Adalats across the country.
Mr. Anurag Rastogi said that the active participation and timely coordination of the departments will not only reduce the burden of pending cases in the courts, but will also increase administrative efficiency and citizens waiting for justice for a long time will get immediate relief.
