Supply of petrol diesel and domestic LPG gas completely normal
Chandigarh, March 11:- An important meeting was held today under the leadership of Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini with senior officials of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department. The meeting discussed the current situation of rumors circulating regarding disruption of LPG gas supply due to the current situation like nuclear war in the Middle East. Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Raja Shekhar Vundru, Director General Mr. Anshaj Singh and officials of oil companies were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the officials informed that in an order issued on March 9 by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, New Delhi, necessary guidelines have been issued regarding the supply of domestic LPG for priority sectors and its uniform and equitable distribution and availability.
Officials of oil companies said that at present the supply of petrol, diesel and domestic LPG gas is completely normal and the oil companies have sufficient stock available. Apart from this, the supply of gas is being received continuously. However, there is a temporary disruption in the supply of commercial cylinders. Priority in the supply of commercial cylinders is being given to educational institutions and hospitals and the oil companies are making continuous efforts to ensure the remaining supply.
The government has also ensured that the supply of domestic LPG gas remains uninterrupted and with the aim of effectively checking any kind of theft or black marketing, necessary guidelines have been issued to all the Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police and District Food and Supply and Supply Controllers of the state.
The state government has appealed to the general public not to pay attention to the rumours being spread regarding the supply of LPG gas and to avoid any unnecessary panic and hoarding as the supply of essential petroleum products in the state is continuing smoothly.
