Supply of Petrol Diesel and Domestic LPG Completely Smooth Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal
SAS Nagar, March 11, 2026:- Deputy Commissioner Mrs. Komal Mittal today held a review meeting through video conferencing to assess the availability and supply of petrol, diesel and domestic LPG cylinders in the district in view of the prevailing geopolitical situation.
The meeting was attended by sales officers of petrol and diesel dealers, representatives of dealer associations, LPG dealers (distributors) and officials from oil marketing companies operating in the district.
During the meeting, it was confirmed that there is no shortage of domestic LPG cylinders, petrol or diesel in the district. Adequate stock is available and the supply through all LPG outlets and petrol pumps is continuing regularly and smoothly.
Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal appealed to the citizens of the district not to pay attention to any rumours regarding a shortage of LPG or petroleum products and to refrain from spreading such misinformation. She advised consumers to continue booking LPG cylinders and purchasing petrol and diesel as per their normal requirements and to avoid unnecessary stockpiling.
She further stated that if anyone receives information about illegal stocking (hoarding) or the wrongful sale of petroleum products or LPG cylinders, it should be reported immediately to the district administration so that appropriate action can be taken.
During the meeting, it was also informed that the supply of commercial LPG cylinders has been restricted in accordance with government directives. However, limited exemptions have been granted for essential services such as educational institutions and medical facilities.
In addition, a committee comprising sales directors of the three oil marketing companies has been constituted at the central level to review and ensure the regular supply of commercial LPG cylinders. The committee will monitor the overall supply system.
