Summer Fair Organized in Santokhgarh Over 45 Children Showcase Their Talent
Santokhgarh/Una, June 23 (Rajveer Chopra): A summer fair was organized in Ward No. 2, Santokhgarh (under the Haroli Circle) by Anganwadi Centers 1, 2, 4, 5, and 8 (Centers 1 and 2 were combined). More than 45 children participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talents through various cultural and creative activities.
Ambika Sharma, the Anganwadi worker and lead organizer of the event, stated that the fair—held in accordance with the Himachal Pradesh government's guidelines—aimed to foster the mental, physical, and social development of the children. During the event, children engaged in art, sports, dance, and other creative activities, while also receiving information relevant to their cognitive development.
She noted that such events boost children's self-confidence and provide an opportunity to hone their latent talents. Parents also participated enthusiastically, encouraging and cheering on the children.
The primary objective of the summer fair was to spread awareness regarding nutrition, hygiene, and health. Anganwadi workers Urmila Devi, Sulinder Kaur, and Asha Devi, along with other Anganwadi helpers, provided active support for the event.
