Successful Operation of Rare Male Breast Cancer Patient at Park Nidan Hospital

Sonipat: A very rare case of male breast cancer was successfully operated upon at Park Nidan Hospital, Sonipat, by Senior General and Laparoscopic Surgeon Dr. A.K. Arun Dhankhar and his team.
The patient had been complaining of a lump, swelling, and pain in the chest for some time. Initially, he ignored it, considering it a common issue, but as the problem escalated, it was revealed that he had breast cancer.
Dr. Arun Dhankhar explained that people generally associate breast cancer only with women, whereas it can occur in men as well. However, this disease is extremely rare in men, accounting for only about 1% of all breast cancer cases.
He further stated that with timely diagnosis and proper treatment, the operation was successful. The patient is now healthy.
According to Dr. Dhankhar, due to a lack of awareness, men often ignore early symptoms, which can lead to the disease becoming severe. He advised that if anyone notices a lump, swelling, persistent chest pain, nipple discharge, or any changes in the skin, they should consult a specialist immediately. Successful treatment of early-stage cancer is possible.
