Students of PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Pekhubela meet with the Deputy Commissioner

Una, January 30: After winning the first prize at the national level in the Model Youth Gram Sabha competition, the participating students and teachers of PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pekhubela (Una) paid a courtesy visit to Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal in his office chamber on Friday.
It is noteworthy that PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Pekhubela secured the first position at the national level in the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya category, bringing glory to Una district and Himachal Pradesh across the country. The school team received this award from the Union Minister of State for Panchayati Raj, Prof. S.P. Singh Baghel, at the national ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. On this occasion, the school was presented with a check of Rs. 1 crore in prize money, a certificate of appreciation, and a memento.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal congratulated the students, teachers, and school management on this achievement, saying that this achievement is a matter of pride for the district and will inspire other students to perform excellently in national-level competitions.
Interacting with the students, the Deputy Commissioner urged them to stay away from drugs, ensure active participation in sports and cultural activities, and focus on preparing for competitive examinations by making maximum use of the libraries established in their schools. He wished the students success in participating in such competitions in the future as well.
It is noteworthy that the Model Youth Gram Sabha competition was organized by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Tribal Affairs.
District Panchayat Officer Shravan Kumar, school principal Raj Singh, and teachers Sunita Chaudhary, Amit Kumar, and Dharmendra Kumar were also present on this occasion.
