Students of Khalsa College Mahilpur won medals in power lifting competition

Mahilpur, January 23:- In the India-wide power lifting competition under Gauri Pro League-2026 held in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, three students of semester I of the course Bachelor in Physics Education and Sports (BPES) running in the Physical Education Department of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur here have brought glory to the institution by winning bronze and silver medals in different weight categories.
These students were honored today at a function organized in the college under the leadership of Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh. On this occasion, Head of the Physical Education Department Dr. Raj Kumar said that in the power lifting competition of the said sports event, student Ashish has won two silver medals by lifting a total of 252.5 kg under the sub-junior and junior categories of 74 kg weight category. Similarly, student Harvinder Singh Rana won the bronze medal under the junior category under the 100 kg weight category by lifting a total of 210 kg.
Similarly, student Ranjit Singh also showed good performance by participating in the above mentioned power lifting competition. On this occasion, Principal Dr. Parvinder Singh, Dr. JB Sekhon and Dr. Jatinder Kumar, present, wished the winning students well and motivated them for further hard work.
