Students at Khalsa Trishatabdi Government College Ratia Sensitized to the SelfEnumeration Campaign

Ratia, April 23: A special awareness program was organized at Khalsa Trishatabdi Government College, Ratia, with the objective of ensuring the active participation of students in the self-enumeration process. Through this program, students were comprehensively apprised of the significance of data and the census in the context of nation-building. Presiding over the event, the college Principal, Dr. Sumitra Sangwan, formally inaugurated the program.
In her address, the Principal encouraged the students, stating that the power of youth constitutes the pivotal link in the success of any national campaign. She emphasized that it is solely through accurate data that the government can formulate superior policies and schemes; therefore, every student must take the initiative to become aware themselves and shoulder the responsibility of engaging their families and other members of society in this process.
Furthermore, she informed the gathering that the work of house-listing and house-counting in Haryana is scheduled to be conducted from May 1, 2026, to May 30, 2026; however, prior to this period—specifically from April 16 to April 30, 2026—a special 'Self-Enumeration' facility is available on the official portal.
During the program, Computer Instructors Anjali Bharti and Gurbaj Kaur explained the entire self-enumeration process to the students in great detail. Utilizing digital mediums, they highlighted the simple steps involved in data entry and demonstrated how this modern technology proves instrumental in collecting error-free information while simultaneously saving time.
They explained that citizens can visit the official portal, se.census.gov.in, and log in using their mobile numbers and OTPs. Subsequently, they must mark their home's location on a digital map and fill in their family details, after which they will receive a unique 'SE ID'—an identifier that must be presented to the enumerator upon their visit. Addressing the students' technical queries and doubts, they familiarized them with the intricacies of both field work and online data entry.
On this occasion, the college staff also remained fully active, extending their cooperation in managing the event and encouraging the students to engage in discussions within various groups. All staff members noted that such initiatives foster a sense of civic awareness and social responsibility among students. The staff further pointed out that this digital process would not only expedite data processing but also ensure that all information remains completely confidential and secure.
At the conclusion of the program, all students collectively pledged to not only ensure their own enumeration but also encourage people in their neighborhoods to participate in this digital campaign, thereby ensuring its 100% success in the Fatehabad district.
