Strong outrage was expressed over the bomb threat to schools in Amritsar
Hoshiarpur: An emergency meeting of the Shri Bhagwan Parshuram Sena, chaired by State President Ashutosh Sharma, expressed strong outrage over the bomb threat to schools in Amritsar. Ashutosh Sharma said that this incident clearly reflects the increasing insecurity and growing audacity of criminals in Punjab. In recent days, incidents of shootings, extortion, robbery, and drug trafficking have increased rapidly in the state, causing fear among the general public. People are now more afraid of the police than of the gangsters.
The meeting stated that this entire criminal network spreading in Punjab is not limited to gangsters and terrorists, but action is also necessary against their helpers, informants, and some corrupt police and political elements who protect them. The fact that drugs are being sold on every street corner, even after more than 25,000 cases have been registered against drug trafficking, proves that this network is not possible without police and political patronage.
The recently viral audio of an ASI from Hoshiarpur, in which he demands Rs. 2 lakh from a young man sitting abroad—who, according to the audio, is involved in drug trafficking throughout Hoshiarpur, and the police officer is fully aware of this—is a prime example of this nexus. An attempt was also made to suppress this serious matter, which is proof of the police department's poor functioning.
The meeting stated that until strict action is taken against those who pay extortion money, supply information, and provide protection, the gangster network cannot be controlled. Today, crime has reached even children's schools, which is extremely dangerous for the future of Punjab.
The Sena demanded that the Punjab government, as well as the central government, take immediate and strict action against crime, the drug mafia, and the corrupt elements within the police department and politics in the state. If the Punjab government fails to control this situation, the central government should not hesitate to consider imposing President's Rule.
On this occasion, Shiv Sena Hindustan state vice-president Rajinder Rana, Ashish Thakur, Arjun Pandit, Anmol Handa, Abhinay Pandit, Surinder Sharma, Pawan Kumar, and others were present.
