Patiala: A state-level mega parent-teacher meet was organized at Government Girls Senior Secondary School, New Power House Colony, Patiala. A large number of parents participated in the event. The head of a reputed institution of Patiala city, Upkar Singh, also attended the meeting. The meeting was conducted under the leadership of Principal Satish Kumar, in accordance with the guidelines of the Punjab Government and under the guidance of Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, District Education Officer (Secondary), Patiala. The Principal welcomed the guests.
In his address, he said that schools are no longer just centers of education but have become platforms to shape the dreams of students. On this occasion, Upkar Singh informed the parents about the overall progress of the children and also discussed the report cards in detail. Apart from this, during the parent-teacher meeting, keeping in mind the health of girls, parents were also made aware about HPV vaccination.
During the meeting, parents also shared their views and suggestions and assured full cooperation for the development of the school. Parents were given detailed information about students’ education, discipline, and progress. The results of the students were also very good. The students of this school have participated at the national level in sports and co-curricular activities.
