State Level Yuva Aapda Mitra Yojana Training Programme Concludes at LTSU Punjab

Hoshiarpur:- The 7-day State Level Training Programme under Yuva Aapda Mitra Yojana (YAMS) Training Programme concluded at Lamrin Tech Skills University (LTSU), Punjab. The training programme was sponsored by National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India and Punjab State Disaster Management Authority, and was organised by Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration (MGSIPA), Government of Punjab.
The final day began with an intensive practical session delivered by the training officers of MGSIPA. The trainees actively participated in practical demonstrations focusing on emergency response, rescue procedures and disaster preparedness techniques. This practical exposure enabled the students to gain confidence and understand the real-world application of disaster management skills.
Dr. Sohnu, Assistant Professor and NSS Programme Officer, who delivered an insightful talk on “Man-made Disaster: Cyber ??Crime”.
After the academic sessions, the volunteers showcased their talents in a cultural programme, which was followed by an interactive feedback session. The trainees expressed great satisfaction over both the theoretical insights and field-based practical training gained during the week.
Dr. B. S. Satyal, Registrar, LTSU, graced the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the training officers of MGSIPA and the NSS Coordinator of LTSU to ensure smooth and effective training sessions and handed over the certificates to the participants.
Shri Nirmal Singh Riyat, Chancellor, Lamrin Tech Skills University Punjab, bestowed his blessings on all the trainees and appreciated the collective efforts of the trainers, coordinators, volunteers and students for making the programme a grand success.
This 7-day Yuva Aapda Mitra Yojana training programme successfully empowered the trainees with essential knowledge, practical skills and confidence to function efficiently during emergencies. The participants expressed their deep gratitude to NDMA, SDMA Punjab, MGSIPA, and LTSU Punjab for providing this enriching and impactful learning experience.
