State government has given new strength to health services Aarti Singh Rao

Chandigarh, November 7 - The Haryana government has taken a big step towards making the state's public health system more economically strong and modern. In the SHPPH meeting held by Health and Family Welfare Minister Aarti Singh Rao with top officials last evening, several important contracts were approved to strengthen health services.
In the meeting, the purchase of 87 defibrillators (Bi-phasic) at a cost of Rs 4.64 crore, 40 mobile X-ray machines at a cost of Rs 1.01 crore, 11 video bronchoscopes at a cost of Rs 4 crore and GI video endoscopy system at a cost of Rs 7.19 crore was approved for all civil hospitals in the state. Apart from this, the selection of service providers for operation and management of 30 Urban Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (UAAM) in Gurugram district at a cost of Rs 26.20 crore was also approved.
Similarly, to further enhance the capabilities of the health institutions of the state, the committee also approved the purchase of 9 automated slide stainers at Rs 1.60 crore under the Histopathology Departments, 4 Mobile Dental Vans at Rs 2.20 crore under the Dental Department, 70 ABG Benchtop Machines at Rs 1.47 crore for the Lab Department, 15 Hi-Aid Operating Microscopes (Eyes) at Rs 3.94 crore for the Eye Departments and 40 Tunant Machines at a cost of Rs 6 crore for the examination of TB patients.
In the meeting, to ensure timely availability of essential life-saving medicines along with materials, approval was also given to 44 essential medicines worth about Rs 60 crore under two-year contract.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that these approvals will completely improve the health services of the state. From primary health centers to district hospitals and health institutions, patients will be provided with better, simpler and quality health facilities.
He said that timely supply of modern materials and life-saving medicines will not only strengthen patient care services, but will also effectively support all major health programs of the state including the National Health Mission.
He said that this decision of the state government is another concrete step towards new technology and quality-based reforms in the health sector, due to which the citizens of the state will get the benefit of better health, safer life.
